Can I get out of Miami International Airport while I'm waiting some hours for my connection flight?
I'm going to Orlando next week, and to get there. there's a connection flight to Miami. I have to wait 3 hours in the airport. But I always get bored, but can people get out of the airport to do some shopping outside of the airport for a while. So me that have a connection flight to Orlando, can I get out of the airport, am I permitted?

Sure, so long as you get back in time to check in for the outbound leg. There is not much near the airport. The two closest Malls, International & Dolphin are about 15-20 min. away by cab.

Grab a cab, quick, get you someplace fast. Watch your time, goes fast. Take a leisurely lunch. Have fun.

It is permitted to leave the boarding area, but it is not a good idea. If you have 3 hours, and want to allow 90 minutes to clear the security to re-enter the boarding area, then that only leaves 90 minutes for transportation and activity. Traffic is so bad in the Miami Airport are that there isn't much of anything you can do or see in 90 minutes except maybe drive around the airport once and look at all the cars stuck in traffic. Sounds like you will have a good opportunity to learn patience. My grandmother told me that only boring people get bored, and person with a well stocked mind can always find occupation simply by thinking, dreaming, planning, puzzling. Maybe you could keep a journal of your trip, and use the layover to describe Miami airport and the people there?
