Can I push my plane/flight ticket to Miami back a few days?
I am supposed to go to Miami on the 24th of this month (July), however something extremely important and mandatory has occurred and I won't be able to make it until the 28th of this month (July). I'm very frustrated but I just need to do whats important and I am hoping I can push my flight back a few days. Is this possible? Thanks.

Yes. You need to call the airline to do so. They may charge you.

Almost every airline will allow you to change the dates of your flights - as long as you pay the change fee. Depending on the type of ticket you originally purchased, that fee could be relatively small to very large (in excess of $100). These days, most of us buy non-refundable tickets in order to save some money on the initial purchase price. Unfortunately, that kind of ticket usually has a high change fee. Call the airline's customer service number and talk with them. They will be able to tell you how much a change costs, and they will be able to do it for you right then when you tell them the new dates and times. Before you call, you should probably look on a travel site to make sure about the best flights for you on the new dates and times, on that airline, so you can tell them exactly what you want, and they can make sure that a seat is available. Whatever it costs, it will be less than the cost to forfeit the ticket and buy a new one. Good luck.
