Currently, the cheapest is $99 tax included, with 7 day advance purchase on Continental or American. Brendan Airways (aka USA3000) have Newark to Fort Lauderdale for only $89.

I live in Boston not NY but whenever I go to Florida, I always find American Airlines or USAirways to be considerably cheaper than JetBlue. Also, JetBlue doesn't fly into Miami, you'd have to go into Ft. Lauderdale. So if you need to go to Miami then you'd have to take that into consideration too - if it's only a little cheaper to go into Ft. Lauderdale instead of Miami then you might end up paying more for a cab to Miami then you're saving in airfare costs.
