How long before my flight leaves should I be at the airport

How long before my flight leaves should I be at the airport?
Im going to miami next month August. I live in NY really close by to Laguardia airport. The flight is from Laguardia to Miami Intenational. It leaves 6:00 am. What time should I get there? And also the flight from Miami back departs at 8:30 at night. How long before should I get to each airport? Thanks

1 1/2 to 2 hours before your flight leaves. Just in case of traffic/any holdups.

90 minutes if you're not checking bags, 2 hours if you are some airlines let you check in online - this will save a few minutes the airport's web site will also have a recommended time to arrive

3 hours, don't listen to people who say 1 and a half, I missed my flight because we couldn't get there soon enough.

Wow that's so funny lmao i live my the laguardia Airport in New York too :] Im going in vacation in 2 days lol My family and I always go 2 hours before we get on the plane and stuff cause of traffic and all those stuff cause i know where the mets stadium there is always traffic there cause of there baseball games you know what i mean. So u should go 2 hours before. :]
