Hurricane Ike might cancel flights in Miami?
I have flight out of Miami Tuesday evening around 5. Do you guys think that flights would get cancelled because of Ike? Is there a phone number I can call to find out?

Its possible depending on the track of the storm, keep watching the weather channel or go onto the National Hurricane Center's website: www.nhc.com I would call the airline u are traveling on to get hour by hour updates.

Never rely on the airlines to inform you of flight cancellations or delays. They don't cancel flights until the last minute, and by that time you're likely to already be at the airport. Just keep track of Ike with your local news, which will inform you if airlines make flight changes ahead of time. An easy way to track Ike is with http://www.USAMediaGuide.com. It has a special section of links to: --Ike's projected path --National Hurricane Center and local news coverage --hurricane preparation tips --live streaming webcams --ready.gov and the Red Cross --other Ike-related stuff.
