I am traveling from Miami to Seattle. I have a stop at NY JFK for 3 hours. What should I do?
I have booked a multidestination flight. My flight goes from Miami and there is one stop at JFK in NY and connecting flight to my first destination Detroit and the from Detroit, MI next flight to my final destination is after 15 days. However if I develope some health problem and choose to stop at NY after baording at Miami, will my ticket be honored if I choose to fly from Detroit to Seattle?

Stay in the airport and wait for your connection. 3 hours is barely enough time to leave the terminal and go through security again without risking missing your flight

If I am deciphering your confusing question correctly.....You can always change your ticket if you decide to stay in NY but most airlines will charge a fee (around $50 last I checked) or it may be free, depending on your original ticket. If it is indeed because of health reasons, like a trip to the hospital, they May waive the fee. A simple call to the airline should be able to get you the correct information about fees because they do love charging fees for everything.
